What data we collect

CDRateCalc does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All calculations happen entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No calculator inputs (deposit amounts, APY, terms, etc.) are sent to any server.

Analytics and tracking

If a Cloudflare Web Analytics token is configured, this site collects privacy-friendly aggregate traffic data (page views, referrers, countries) through Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint users, and does not share data with advertisers. When no token is configured, there are no analytics scripts at all.

When behavioral analytics is enabled, we also collect anonymous interaction events (page views, button clicks, field focus, calculator runs, and JavaScript errors) to improve the tool. These events use a random session id stored in your browser's sessionStorage only — no account, no cross-site tracking, and no sale of data. Calculator inputs are summarized (e.g. result totals), not stored as personal information.

When Microsoft Clarity is enabled, we use Clarity for heatmaps and session replay to understand how visitors use the tool. Clarity is operated by Microsoft; see Microsoft's privacy statement for details.

When Google Analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, device types). Google Analytics is operated by Google; see Google's privacy policy for details.

Cookies

Our behavioral analytics does not use cookies. If Microsoft Clarity or Google Analytics is enabled, those services may set first-party cookies to distinguish sessions and measure usage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Hosting infrastructure

CDRateCalc is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard server-side access logs (IP addresses, browser type, request timestamps) as part of normal CDN operation. These logs are not controlled by CDRateCalc. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Third-party links

This site does not contain links to third-party financial institutions or affiliate offers. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

Any material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
